Teak Outdoor Furniture
Teakwood is commercially available from the Indonesian Government in several grades. The best furniture quality grade is "Mutu Pertama" or "First Quality" which means that the lumber is taken from the best part of the log with tight grain and no loose knots or checks. Furniture from Domus Designs uses "First Quality" teak exclusively. All lumber is kiln dried before manufacturing and assembly. Our furniture is precision machine cut from heavy timbers and uses the time proven mortise and tenon or tongue and groove joinery methods. Structural joints are doweled and glued with waterproof polyurethane furniture glue for a lifetime of vigorous outdoor use. Fasteners and metal fittings are all made to our specifications of heavy solid brass and stainless steel materials.
